Tito's Handmade Vodka is America’s original craft vodka. Based in Austin, Texas, it is the personal recipe of founder and master distiller, Bert "Tito" Beveridge. Using traditional copper pot stills, Tito brings a true artisanal approach to his process.
When Tito embarked on opening a microdistillery in 1995 there was no known method for its creation, so he scoured the library for books on the process of distilling, and found there was very little information to be had. Through trial and error, and countless blind tastings with his friends, Tito perfected the copper pot distillation method himself and found that his palate preferred the subtle sweetness and rounded shoulders of vodka made with 100% corn, 6 times distilled. The clarity and unmatched smoothness of Tito’s Handmade Vodka is the cleanest expression of the spirit, and one of very few suitable to be enjoyed neat.
Tito’s Handmade Vodka received early recognition when Tito submitted his vodka to the World Spirits Competition in 2001. Without being present, Tito’s earned the Unanimous Double Gold Medal, winning over 71 other vodkas, including established and more expensive brands.
